Signal checklist

    How to read this

    What the score means.

GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — is about being quoted, not just ranked. AI answer engines lift clean, factual passages from pages that read like a reference. This tool checks your copy for the eight on-page traits those passages tend to share, then weights them into one score.

    75–100 (good)
your copy is structured the way quoted sources are. Tighten the failed signals and keep shipping.
    45–74 (warn)
the bones are there, but an engine has to work to find a quotable line. Fix the red signals below first.
    Under 45 (bad)
the page reads like marketing, not a source. Lead with a direct answer, add numbers, and break it into structure.
This is an on-page estimate only — it can't see authority, links or freshness, which also drive citations.

    GEO checker questions

    Asked, answered.

What is a GEO readiness score, and is it the same as my Google ranking?+

No. A GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) readiness score estimates how quotable your content is for AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews — not where you rank in classic blue-link search. It rewards the traits those engines look for when they pull a sentence to cite: a clear direct answer up top, question-style headings, numbers and stats, definitions, structure, and named entities. A page can rank on page one and still score low here, because ranking and being quoted are two different games.

Why do I have to paste my text instead of entering a URL?+

This tool runs entirely in your browser with no backend, so it can't fetch a live URL — that would require a server. Pasting the copy keeps it 100% private: nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored. Copy the main body text of the page you want to check (the headings and paragraphs, not the nav or footer) and drop it in. You'll get the same signal analysis an engine would run on the rendered content.

Will a high score guarantee ChatGPT or Perplexity cites my page?+

No tool can guarantee a citation — engines also weigh authority, freshness, links and crawlability that no on-page checker can see. What a high score does mean is that your content is structured the way quoted sources tend to be: it answers the question directly, backs claims with numbers, defines its terms and is easy to lift a clean passage from. Fixing the failed signals removes the on-page reasons an engine would skip you. The off-page side is what our GEO and AIO services handle.
